Second Morning Prayer

Having risen from sleep, I offer Thee, O Savior, the midnight song.
Falling down, I cry to Thee: let me not fall asleep in the death of sin.
Be gracious to me, Thou Who wast willingly crucified.
Raise me quickly as I lie in laziness,
and save me as I stand in prayer.
After the night's sleep, O Christ God,
shine a sinless day on me and save me.
