Let us come before the Lord and pray for the strength to overcome our fears.

Lord, have mercy on us for the times when we have allowed fear to control our thoughts and actions.

Lord, have mercy on us for the times when we have let our anxieties and worries overwhelm us, and failed to trust in your guidance and provision.

Lord, have mercy on us for the times when we have allowed fear to prevent us from taking risks, pursuing our dreams, and living our lives to the fullest.

Lord, have mercy on us for the times when we have let fear create division and hatred, and failed to seek understanding and compassion towards those who are different from us.

Lord, have mercy on us for the times when we have ignored the suffering and needs of others, and failed to take action to make the world a better place, out of fear of the cost and effort it might require.

May we seek to imitate the courage and faith of Christ, who faced his fears and overcame them, and who taught us to trust in your love and power, and to love one another as he has loved us.

Amen.
